Bleaching

Bleaching (teeth bleaching) is a dental procedure that uses special whitening agents—usually hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide—to chemically lighten the color of your teeth by breaking down stains and discoloration on the enamel and dentin. Unlike regular brushing or cleaning, which only removes surface plaque and tartar, bleaching penetrates the tooth structure to reduce deeper stains caused by coffee, tea, smoking, certain foods, or aging, making the teeth appear whiter and brighter. It can be done professionally in a dental clinic (often with a light or laser to activate the gel) or at home using dentist-supervised trays, and when performed correctly under a dentist’s guidance, it is considered a safe and effective cosmetic treatment.
